Youth MinistriesThe congregation at Holy Cross believes a strong youth ministry includes learning (see also Education), fellowship, and service. If you have suggestions or would like to help with any youth programs, contact the church office.
The first Friday of every month (October through May) is "kids' night" at the church with activities for kids of all ages 6:00-8:45 pm. First Fridays is also meant to provide parents with a free night out without having to find a babysitter:
Little Angels (Preschool through Kindergarten) Parents of the youngest children volunteer in childcare to allow other parents a night out for themselves (to shop, get some chores done, or go on a date), without needing to hire a babysitter.
Kingdom Kids (1st-4th Grade) This is a learning and activity group for younger children. Open "game time" starts at 6:00 pm. Organized bible lessons, music, and activities begin at 7:00 pm.
Power Team (5th-7th Grade) The activity group for older middle-school-age children starts with a "game time" also at 6:00 pm with faith lessons and activities at 7:00 pm.
Wednesday
Youth Connection Night (10-12th Grade Youth)Every Wednesday night during the school year beginning at 7 pm the church is open to high school youth — for games, food, or just hanging out. The 7th through 9th graders are in Confirmation class in the Fellowship Hall and the 10-12th graders have their own group in the Activity Room.
Our No-Selling GuaranteeAs a congregation, Holy Cross has made a commitment to supporting our youth programs by the good stewardship of our members — through regular church offerings and up-front cost for activities. You and your children will not be asked to buy or sell any “fundraising” goods or products while participating in any of our programs or youth groups.
