Various fellowship groups meet regularly at Holy Cross, focusing on different areas of ministry:
The Goin' Roadin' group (well, not actually a group, more of an open invitation) plans road trips to plays, concerts, and other fun stuff within reasonable driving distance. Watch the calendar for these fun events.
The Monthly Book Club meets the second Monday of the month at the church at 7:00 pm. For the book this month, check the What's New page.
Quilters meet on Monday afternoons at the church throughout the year, cutting and sewing quilts and banners, beginning at 1:00 pm.
The Parent’s Group is small group that meets weekly on Monday mornings; childcare is provided.
The Ladies’ Support Group meets each month on Tuesday at an area restaurant for mutual support and conversation.
The Men’s Group is an informal work-oriented group, that gets together to do special projects for the church and community.
The Altar Guild is a group that provides for the worship life of the church, takes care of altar paraments and candles, banners, and church decorations, and prepares for and cleans up after communion.
The Thrivent Branch (formerly known as Aid Association for Lutherans) is a fraternal service-and fellowship-group that sponsors various activities throughout the year. The branch is made of participating members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans™ as well as anyone who may join as associate members.
Dinners and Potlucks are held throughout the year on special occasions, hosted by Serving Groups (based alphabetically on last names).
Stewardship MonthOctober is the month designated for our annual Stewardship Emphasis: a time of fun and celebration for the church. Through special gatherings, programs, dramas, and music, we look at how we are able to serve God with the things God has given us. Every other year (the last was 2006), we celebrate with a special Time & Talent Night dinner theater event.
On our annual Stewardship Sunday, members submit their Giving Plans and Time and Ability sheets for the coming year.
