The
Education HourHoly Cross Church offers Christian education for all ages on Sunday mornings throughout the school year. The Education Hour is held between the two worship services, from 9:15 - 10:15 am, with classes for children and adults.
Sunday School
Sunday School is an educational ministry for elementary-age children, which emphasizes the teaching of bible stories. Each week features activities, music, and crafts.
Beginning with Nursery (age 3 and below) up through 6th grade, there are classes for each age group. A “Youth Forum” is offered for young people of 7th grade and above. All children of the church participate.
Adult Education
Holy Cross has a strong and solid tradition of adult education. There are many opportunities for bible study offered throughout the year.
The Adult Forum is our biggest adult education opportunity. This informal topical Bible Study is held on Sunday mornings during the education hour, in the Fellowship Hall. Different forum series are presented over the year by the pastor on various biblical and theological topics.
Women’s Evening Bible Study meets at the Martinsons (821 Beech Lane in Annandale) on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Contact LoAnn Martinson for directions.

A Mom’s Bible Study is held on Monday mornings from 9:15 -10:30 am, led by Pastor King. For information on this series, contact Shannon Vietmeier.
Vacation Bible School (VBS) a special week of education held in the first full week of August each summer for elementary age children: preschool through 7th grade. Children from other churches in the community are welcome to attend, just as our children often attend VBS in other churches.
Church Bible CampEvery year, a number of young people from Holy Cross spend a week at Green Lake Bible Camp, near Spicer Minnesota, or at the associated camp at the Shores of St. Andrews. The cost of this camping experience is shared by the parents and the church. Advance sign-up is required for campers the previous February.
Holy Cross also sponsors a Married Couples' Retreat at Green Lake, as a relaxing "get-away" for adults.
Holy Cross Lutheran Church is a Corporate Member of Green Lake Ministries, an outreach of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
